Electrical Capacitance Tomography

Electrical Capacitance Tomography

LS-SIECT is a multi-functional high-precision electrical capacitance
tomography imaging system, which can visualize the flow process by
capacitance measurement and reconstructing the dielectric constant
distribution of multi-phase mixed fluid in the space to be measured. The
system is equipped with multi-electrode combination, multi-measurement
mode switching, high-speed measurement and other functions,
and can carry a maximum of 24 independent electrodes, and the the
maximum data acquisition rate can reach 714 frames/second. LS-SIECT
can visualize multi-media mixed flow processes in different applications
and optimize industrial process control.

Instrument Features

Electrical Capacitance Tomography Composition

  1. 1
    Sensors

    • Sensor type:Single/ double plane sensor
    • Sensor configuration:A sensor with 8 electrodes is provided with the system. 8/12/16/24 electrode sensors can be customized by user.
    • Special industrial requirements:Users can choose LeEngSTAR industrial-grade LS-ECT sensor (pipe diameter:DN50, pressure level: 2.5MPa) for Pipeline fluid measurement

  2. 2
    Acquisition System

LS-SIECT is a high-performance, highly scalable capacitance tomography
data acquisition system. The system can be expanded to 6
acquisition cards, and a single acquisition card can realize 4-electrode
data acquisition and support a maximum of 24-electrode acquisition.
The measurement mode can support 4/8/12 electrode single-plane array
acquisition mode, and dual 4/8/12 electrode double-plane array sensor
acquisition mode. It can be used for single-plane ECT two-dimensional
cross-sectional permittivity distribution calculation, double-pkane ECT correlation calculation and three-dimensional calculation. The acquisition
system provides USB data transfer mode.

  3. 3
    System Software

LS-SIECT system software can be used for acquisition system control, electrode data display and storage, and comes with a basic model to reproduce the spatial distribution of the measured area of the dielectric.

    • Software Environment:Windows 64bit system
    • Image Reconstruction Algorithm:Linear back projection (LBP)
    • Data Display Function:Support real-time image display of laminar imaging data, image can be scaled and rotated data storage format txt
    • Other:Software support for customization development
